Money, Money, Money. If you're in any way involved with the bag of moneybusiness world, money is on your mind. With resources stretched thin, companies are looking for ways to cut costs and increase profits. Instead of personally telling you how outsourcing your hiring process to a staffing firm will save you money, we thought we would let independent companies speak for us.

According to a recent CareerBuilder Survey of over 3,200 companies, organizations found that:

  • There is near unanimous agreement among contingent staffing buyers that the use of contingent labor saves money—92% reported so.
  • The median savings reported by buyers was 9% of total expense.

In addition to direct cost savings, there other main benefits of using a staffing firm that ultimately help drive profits. According to a different major survey conducted for the American Staffing Association, "companies use staffing employees for two principal reasons: flexibility and access to talent.” The study found that organizations will profit from:

  • Flexibility: “Nine out of 10 business customers rated flexibility as an important reason to use staffing companies, saying it keeps them fully staffed during busy times. “Surges in business, employees on leave or unexpected projects that need to be completed within a given timeframe are reasons to use flexible staffing solutions. Visit our Resource Center for more information about flexible staffing.
  • Access to Talent: "A staffing company...can provide you with specialized skills for a particular project. In addition, these firms can serve as deep recruitment pools for your permanent hiring. In fact, eight in 10 business customers say that staffing companies are a good way to find potential permanent employees - and industry research indicates that three out of four customers rank the quality of the employees they get from staffing firms as good as or better than their own employees.

Business experts agree that finding the right people to help you in business is the #1 key to success.

“The key for us, number one, has always been hiring very smart people.” – Bill Gates

“I am convinced that nothing we do is more important than hiring and developing people. At the end of the day you bet on people, not on strategies.” – Larry Bossidy

"People are definitely a company's greatest asset. It doesn't make any difference whether the product is car or cosmetics." - Mary Kay Ash.

You didn't just hear it from us: a better team, accompanied with cost savings and flexibility, is your answer for a better 2011.
